Our new 'Home Sweet Home'

We are moving. We are leaving our home in big city Hamilton and moving to small town St.Thomas in a matter of weeks now! We are excited and nervous. It will be great being just 15 minutes from Nonno & Nonna's, Uncle Frank's & Aunt Jody's, Aunt Susie's and so many others we know in London! I haven't been back to live in that vicinity in 11 years now, and I am looking forward to it.

The house itself is quaint and lovely. It's all I need and all I want ~ it has the character I love so much in century homes, and a huge backyard with a fish pond! Everything has been updated and the kids are 5 minutes from their brand-new school. I love small towns and always dreamed of living in one ~ small town living, minutes from city shopping, beach and family.

I tell the boys that there are many things we are going to miss about Hamilton. So many memories and friends. But we look at this as a new beginning and not an ending ~ we're simply turning a page in life.

I love the history of St. Thomas and the beautiful old architecture that surrounds us there. Everyone who has ever visited St.T knows how rich in character it is..and I look forward to many photo shoots there ~ discovering new and unique spots for the perfect backdrop.

Here are a few pics of our new dig! I love it all, but my fav is the kitchen ~ it's chic yet quirky. But there are a hundred other things I love ~ the beautiful banister, the clawfoot tub, the wainscotting in my bedroom, the crown moulding, huge baseboards, large treed backyard..I can't wait to settle in and be 'home sweet home'.
